The Island is a biker’s paradise. Bicycles are available for rent, and there are several places to rent bikes by the hour, half day or full day. You can also bring your own bicycle on the ferry . The Island is a mecca for bike riders with over 70 miles of scenic roads and breathtaking trails

There are over 600 horses on Mackinac Island as the Island banned motor vehicles in the late 1800's. Today, Islanders and visitors get around by horse carriages and horse taxi.
